WHAT IS LEAD SCHOLARSHIP FOUNDATION?

The LEAD Scholarship Foundation is a nationally recognized 501(c)3 nonprofit charity that was originally founded as the Black Employees Network Scholarship Foundation by a few people, who were members of the Merck Black Employees’ Network (BEN) Scholarship Foundation, Inc. Employee Resource Group (EBRG) in 2002. Since that time, the Foundation has moved outside Merck as its own legal organization, in order to work with EBRGs and Affinity Groups from as many different companies as possible in order to provide scholarships and mentoring opportunities to students who have overcome adversity.
